Age of History is a turn-based strategy game in which you must conquer the world. It features a map of Africa that contains 436 provinces to play— including the capital. When playing the game, you must use Movement Points to limit the number of orders you can submit during each round. After submitting orders, civilizations follow a random turn order and perform actions in that order. The most important province in any given civilization is its capital. If a civilization loses it for three turns, it will disappear. Capturing another civilization's capital city adds all its Provinces to your collection. Its bonus of +15% to defensive structures and +15% to offensive ones grant it an advantage over other capitals. Additionally, +15% bonus to defensive structures and +15% bonus to offensive ones are present. All constructed buildings are already complete within a capital city. The scale of the map can be changed by tapping the screen or doubling the tap. Tapping again scales the map back to standard. When the standard scale is displayed on the map, a dash or small circle appears next to provinces labeled in another color or by an icon. On the left side of the interface, click on the Economy and Population buttons to view each province's values. Use the diplomacy button to start or engage in diplomatic negotiations with other provinces. You can also use this button to view a province's owner and orders — change the views in your Orders menu. Moving units between provinces requires using Orders — select Normal View to move units between provinces. Money is added to a treasury through income tax; money is subtracted from the treasury for military upkeep. Military units must be deployed on land, but naval units can be deployed anywhere. You can move between regions you control or attack another civilization's territory. Additionally, you can recruit units from the provinces you select by spending money and limited by the population of that region. Selecting a province to build a building in reduces its population. You can disband a unit by clicking the appropriate icon. Disbanding decreases the military upkeep cost for the province, or creates a vassal state if it costs money to disband. You can also establish a pact with another civilization, and annex an existing vassal state. While a pact is being formed, you can enter diplomatic negotiations through the Orders – Diplomacy View. Once the agreement is finished, both parties will stop being at war with each other. Submitting an alliance offer to another civilization immediately cancels a War order one round in advance. The accepted alliance cannot be attacked by either civilization for five rounds. The War Order lets you declare targets for your military. You can kick allies from alliances, supply money to a civilization and more. There are three different types of fog of war, depending on which bonuses you choose to use. Select the right bonus to view army numbers in nearby provinces or declare bonuses when declaring war. You can even use Ports to enter the ocean and move units across land without needing to build Watch Towers. Additionally, over 235 civilizations and vassals are available to choose from. Also included are offline and online achievements, as well as Google Play Game Services leaderboards and achievements! A random placement option along with random games is also included. You can customize scenarios by using modern world or Modern World Full as a starting point. Scenarios allow you to take control of Africa, World War I or World War I Full. Custom scenarios are also possible! Selecting a specific bonus for each scenario is helpful for more accurate results when playing.
