People wrote poetry, books and movies about this war before Diablo was even created. Nobody knows if these tales are real or not; no one has seen any of the characters from the stories in either good or evil forms. However, people have seen the effects of this war on different works of art and entertainment. The Legendary card game also draws inspiration from this.


Plot

A game with a monster or god-themed theme that features an interesting plot is considered more attractive. Supposedly, the more powerful earthquakes, complex characters and miraculous skills — even if they belong to supernatural beings — make for a more successful game. All wars function under a single purpose because of the story’s gluey plot. This makes it easy to believe in the inefficiencies of each war’s justification. From the heavens to the earth, Korelis's inhabitants include both humans and deities. The heavenly light united them as one people, but something from the bowels of Hell broke them apart. A darkness of unknown origin arrived on the heavenly plane, intending to invade Korelis. The conflict between the Dark Lord and the Sun God has spanned centuries. The Dark Lord was the creator of Korelis, but his thirst for limitless power led him to pay a heavy price. He was placed in a sealed underground tomb that contained chains, spells and multiple layers of seals. The outside of the tomb was covered with lava flows that had almost no chance of escape. This ensures that little hope exists for anyone to return to the outside world and cause chaos. The Dark Lord still hasn't explained why he broke the seals. However, his return to Earth has been thwarted by some unknown mechanism. Furthermore, he can nullify the seals and bypass the lava because of a need to take revenge on those who defy him— specifically the gods and all the people who aren't descended from the sun god. In order to rescue Korelis, you need to gather the most powerful members of the world. This is done through creating an army of invincible heroes. Your only option is building this army.


Gameplay

You initially only have a few predefined characters in your possession. These underpowered heroes boast average abilities and skills. As a result, their fighting capabilities will be limited. By defeating quests and fighting continuously, you can maximize the value of the characters and obtain many valuable rewards. Plus, defeating demons from the Dark Lord’s back helps you build up experience points, which help you obtain new heroes. Some of these new heroes are completely unique and have never been seen before. When fighting the next levels, you need to work hard in the early stages to unlock high rankings with each hero. Each hero is represented by a card with its unique skill and ability ranking system. Later on, their skills can be upgraded according to the level of combat.
